Why server backup matters

Downtime and data loss are expensive. Whether caused by ransomware, accidental deletion, hardware failure, or natural disaster, losing access to business-critical data can disrupt operations, damage reputation, and lead to costly compliance violations.

Small and midsize businesses often face resource constraints that make complex backup systems hard to manage. Yet the threats don’t discriminate by company size. You need a straightforward way to ensure your data is backed up, secure, and ready for recovery at a moment’s notice.

Solution overview

OpenText Server Backup delivers reliable, comprehensive protection for physical, virtual, and legacy systems. It supports over 200 platforms and applications, offers flexible deployment models (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid), and includes integrated hardware and software backed by award-winning support. How it works

After the initial full backup, OpenText Server Backup captures only incremental changes, reducing backup time and storage usage. Backup data is automatically replicated to the cloud and stored in immutable formats to ensure integrity. In the event of failure, recover an entire server using bare-metal restore, spin up a virtual machine within minutes, or restore individual files and folders. Cloud failover allows mission-critical systems to keep running even if the local environment goes down, with seamless failback when systems are restored. Built-in ransomware monitoring alerts you to threats and enables quick recovery from uncompromised backup “safe sets.”
