E3 appliances retiring—CSeries takes the lead

Due to growing demand for higher-capacity, enterprise-ready data protection, OpenText is retiring the E3 appliance and focusing on the more powerful and scalable CSeries line.

Why this matters:

The C100 and C200 appliances are designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s hybrid IT environments. Compared to the E3, they offer:

  • 3x to 5x greater usable storage capacity (3 TB for C100, 7 TB for C200)
  • Enterprise-grade performance with 32 GB RAM and Windows Server 2022
  • Rack-mount form factor for efficient data center deployment
  • Long-term scalability for growing customer environments
  • Seamless integration with OpenText Server Backup for both physical and virtual machines

The CSeries models not only deliver superior capacity, but also align with IT teams looking for flexibility, resilience, and consistent protection at scale.
