Switzerland welcomes OpenText Core Cloud-to-Cloud Backup data center
OpenText is pleased to announce the launch of its Core Cloud-to-Cloud Backup data center in Zurich, Switzerland.

This is the 11th facility in OpenText's global network, and it reflects our continued commitment to helping organizations address data residency, privacy, and performance requirements in these operating regions.
Why a Swiss data center matters
Switzerland’s revFADP, effective September 2023, applies to foreign companies serving Swiss residents, requiring a local representative for the FDPIC and 72-hour breach reporting. For instance, a German MSP storing a Swiss retailer’s Microsoft 365 data in Germany may incur compliance costs to meet these obligations.
“We are very pleased about the availability of the new Swiss DC for our OpenText Core Cloud-to-Cloud Backup Service. This gives our customers even more control over where they want to store their backups, including in our own Netcloud Cloud Service with data storage in Switzerland or in OpenText's AWS Swiss data center.” – Marco Dubini, Platforms Consultant, Netcloud AG
